PRIME VIDEO's GOD OF WAR
- Dave Bautista has closed a deal to replace Ryan Hurst in the lead role on the upcoming drama based on the video game franchise. Multiple episodes with Hurst were shot before he was injured with a torn bicep that required multiple months to fully recovery. The show's creative team decided to scrap the previously produced episodes and restart from scratch with a new actor in the lead role. Appearing in the WWE between 2002 and 2019, Bautista has been seen in the Guardians of the Galaxy and Dune film franchises.
- Bautista will play Kratos, a Spartan by birth and a god by nature. Raised in a martial culture, he rose to command armies in service of his homeland until one day he made a fateful deal with Ares, the Greek God of War and lost his soul in exchange for being victorious in battle.

- Matthew Daddario has joined the cast of the drama's upcoming 15th season. He previously starred for three seasons in Freeform's Shadowhunters and in the second season of Paramount+'s Why Women Kill.
- He will play a firefighter candidate.
