Apple TV's Untitled Elizabeth Banks Comedy; CBS' Sheriff Country; HBO's Harry Potter, Rooster & The Trial of Louise Woodward; NBC's Line of Fire; and Netflix's One Piece.
HBO's HARRY POTTER
- Kit Harington has been cast as a new series regular on the drama's upcoming second season. He currently stars in HBO's Industry, which has been renewed for a fifth and final season. He previously starred for eight seasons in HBO's Game of Thrones, receiving two Emmy Award nominations for his performance.
- Harington will play Gilderoy Lockhart, a notoriously vain, boastful and fame-obsessed wizard well-versed in Memory Charms who is recruited by Dumbledore (John Lithgow) to become Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts. A five-time winner of Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award, Lockhart authored many books on dark creatures and his supposed encounters with them.
- Nicholas Hoult was originally cast in the role earlier this month. A shift in the production schedule has resulted in a conflict requiring him to leave the series. The role was quickly offered to Harington, who voiced Lockhart in the Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions last year.
NBC's LINE OF FIRE
- Sam Waterston, Campbell Scott and Chris Chalk have booked recurring roles on the upcoming drama starring Peter Krause and Hope Davis. Waterston previously starred for 19 seasons in NBC's Law & Order, three seasons in HBO's The Newsroom, and seven seasons in Netflix's Grace and Frankie. Scott starred for two seasons in Netflix's House of Cards and currently recurs on Hulu's Furious. Chalk starred for four seasons in FOX's Gotham, two seasons in HBO's Perry Mason and in the first season of HBO's IT: Welcome to Derry.
- Waterston will play former President Thomas Barnes. He and Mike (Krause) have a deep bond, but Mike is haunted by a close call from his time on detail.
- Scott will play Terry, a U.S. Senator and Jane's (Davis) boyfriend. He's hoping to move their relationship to the next level but knows that Jane's first priorities will always be her work and her family.
- Chalk will play current President Kayana, who is strong and decisive but worries his numbers are not where they should be and is seeking to course correct.
APPLE TV's UNTITLED ELIZABETH BANKS COMEDY
- Tom Selleck will appear as a guest star in the upcoming comedy starring Elizabeth Banks, Ted Danson and Katey Sagal. He previously starred for eight seasons in CBS' Magnum, P.I. and fourteen seasons in CBS' Blue Bloods. He has received seven Emmy Award nominations across his career - winning in 1984 for his lead role in Magnum.
- No details were immediately announced about the character he will be playing.
HBO's THE TRIAL OF LOUISE WOODWARD
- Catriona Chandler and Joanne Froggatt have joined the cast of the upcoming limited series starring Meghann Fahy and Sagar Radia. Chandler currently stars in Disney+/Hulu's Rivals, which has been renewed for a third season. Froggatt previously starred for six seasons in ITV's Downton Abbey and its three follow-up feature films, receiving three Emmy Award nominations for her performance.
- Chandler will play Louise Woodward, an 18-year-old British au pair accused of shaking to death a baby left in her care by her American host family.
- Froggatt will play Susan, Louise's mother.
NETFLIX's ONE PIECE
- Emilio Sakraya, Omid Abtahi, Jamie Ward and Nabeel Khan have landed recurring roles on the drama's upcoming third season. Sakraya previously starred in Peacock's one-season drama Those About to Die. Abtahi starred for three seasons in Starz's American Gods and recurred on Disney+'s The Mandalorian. Ward recurred on FX's Tyrant and HBO's His Dark Materials. Khan guest starred on Starz's The Nowhere Man.
- Sakraya will play Koza. Abtahi will play Toto. Ward will play Pell. Khan will play Chaka.
CBS' SHERIFF COUNTRY
- Ben McKenzie will guest star opposite his real-life wife Morena Baccarin on the drama's upcoming second season premiere. He previously starred for four seasons in FOX's The O.C., five seasons in TNT's Southland, and five seasons in FOX's Gotham.
- He will play Sheriff Wade, a neighboring sheriff who is called in to assist Sheriff Mickey Fox (Baccarin) and has a few secrets of his own.
HBO's ROOSTER
- Annie Mumolo, Maximo Salas and Rory Scovel have been promoted to series regulars on the comedy's upcoming second season. All three appeared as recurring guest stars in the first season - with Mumolo and Salas appearing in all ten episodes and Scovel appearing in eight episodes.
- Mumolo plays Cristle, the executive assistant to Ludlow College president Walter Mann (John C. McGinley).
- Salas plays Tommy, Cristle's son and a student who befriends Greg (Steve Carell).
- Scovel plays Officer Donnie Mullins, a campus police officer who's always monitoring Greg.
