The six-part drama will weave a deliciously twisted tale through Dahl's iconic short stories. A young couple, marooned in a faded seaside town, navigate conmen, adulterers, murderous mothers and snake charmers as they attempt to escape before their own fate is sealed.
The cast set to appear in the untitled series will include Nicola Coughlan, Imelda Staunton, Dominic West, Naomi Scott, Josh Finan, Toby Jones, Carmen Ejogo, Christine Tremarco, Michael Socha and Clarke Peters.
Danny Brocklehurst developed the drama. He will executive produce with Suzanne Mackie and Gabriel Silver. Sarah Lewis will producer while Runyararo Mapfumo and Ben Gregor will direct. Orchid Pictures will produce.
