HBO's INDUSTRY
- Ben Platt and Russell Tovey have joined the cast of the drama's upcoming fifth and final season. Platt won a Tony Award for his lead role in the musical Dear Evan Hansen and starred for two seasons in Netflix's The Politician. Tovey starred for two seasons in HBO's Looking, two seasons in ABC's Quantico, in the HBO limited series Years and Years, and two seasons in BBC Three's Juice.
- Platt will play Matt Crenshaw, a venture capitalist and an early backer of a wellness tech company.
- Tovey will play Declan P. Davis, a deputy to left-wing politician Nikesh Shah (Bally Gill).
NETFLIX's THIS SUMMER WILL BE DIFFERENT
- Malin Akerman, Megan Follows, Nadine Bhabha and Matias Lucas will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Sophie Nélisse, Francesca Reale and Roby Attal. Akerman currently stars in Netflix's The Hunting Wives, which returns for its second season later this year. Follows starred for four seasons in The CW's Reign. Bhabha recurred on Crave's Letterkenny and HBO Max's Heated Rivalry. Lucas starred in Global's one-season drama Robyn Hood.
- Akerman will play Aunt Stacy. Follows will play Cheryl. Bhabha will play Farah. Lucas will play Carter.
