Details about the new series are being kept under wraps. It's only being described as a spy thriller that will begin production in spring 2027 for a 2028 premiere. A creative team for the project wasn't immediately announced either.
The series order comes as Marvel has been winding down its live-action television series output on Disney+. The WandaVision trilogy of series will be coming to an end this fall with the release of VisionQuest starring Paul Bettany. Meanwhile, a second season renewal was rescinded for the comedic series Wonder Man earlier this year. And finally, it was recently announced that the upcoming third season of Daredevil: Born Again - which will reunite the four heroes that form The Defenders - will be its last.
