Season 2 of "The Institute" Receives Premiere Date on MGM+

MGM+ has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original drama series The Institute.

The eight-episode second season will debut on Sunday, November 8 at 9/8c.

The new season picks up following Luke and friends' escape from Dennison as they search for a way to end the Institute for good. Meanwhile, The Director enlists a new ally, tech billionaire Nolan Reeves, to help him rebuild, and Sigsby's life as a fugitive pushes her to seek a way back "in."

The drama stars Joe Freeman, Ben Barnes, Mary-Louise Parker, Simone Miller, Fionn Laird, Arlen So, Robert Joy and Hannah Galway.

Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones) joins the cast as a new series regular for the second season. He portrays Nolan Reeves, an eccentric European tech billionaire and one of the Institute's financial backers with an ambitious agenda all his own.

Benjamin Cavell developed the drama based on the novel by Stephen King. The showrunner and author executive produce with Gary Barber, Sam Sheridan, Ed Redlich, Michael Mahoney and director Jack Bender. MGM+ Studios, Spyglass Media Group, Sashajo Productions and Nomadicfilm produce.
