TV News - 'Up All Night,' 'Raising Hope,' 'Girls,' 'The Good Wife,' 'Blue Bloods,' 'Glee,' 'Parenthood,' 'Criminal Minds' & 'Hart of Dixie'

        Tuesday, July 31 - Today's casting updates include new roles and upcoming guest stars on NBC's Up All Night and Parenthood; CBS' The Good Wife, Criminal Minds and Blue Bloods; FOX's Raising Hope and Glee; The CW's Hart of Dixie and HBO's Girls.

Sean Hayes is set to appear on an upcoming episode of NBC's Up All Night's second season as Ava's (Maya Rudolph) former accompanist.

Melanie Griffith is in final talks to play the mother of Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) on FOX's Raising Hope. Griffith could end up appearing in multiple episodes of the comedy's third season.

Shiri Appleby (Roswell, Life Unexpected) has booked a recurring role on the second season of HBO's Girls. She will play Natalie, a beautiful and charming New Yorker who becomes a new love interest for Adam (Adam Sackler).

Jill Flint is returning to CBS' The Good Wife for at least three episodes during its upcoming fourth season. Flint plays FBI agent Lana Delaney, Kalinda's (Archie Panjabi) frequent love interest, on the series.

Peter Hermann (Law & Order: SVU, A Gifted Man) has been cast as Erin's (Bridget Moynahan) ex-husband, Jack Boyle, on CBS' Blue Bloods. Hermann will appear in the third episode this fall as his character returns to New York to face off against Erin in a court case. His sudden return will bring up some unresolved issues with Erin, Nicky (Sami Gayle) and the rest of the Reagan family.

FOX's Glee has added Melissa Benoist (Homeland) and newcomer Becca Tobin in the recurring roles of Marley and Kitty for the series upcoming fourth season.

Matt Lauria (Friday Night Lights) has been cast in a major recurring role on the upcoming fourth season of NBC's Parenthood. Lauria will play a returning soldier from Afghanistan who forms a bond with Zeek (Craig T. Nelson).

Josh Stamberg (Drop Dead Diva) will appear in the third episode of the eighth season of CBS' Criminal Minds. The episode, currently titled "Through the Looking Glass" will feature Stamberg as a father of a desperate family that has been abducted.

Charlie Robinson (Night Court) has landed a recurring role on the upcoming second season of The CW's Hart of Dixie. Robinson will play the surly grandfather of fellow recurring newbie, Ruby Jeffries (played by Girlfriends' Golden Brooks).
