TV News - 'The Office,' 'Hot in Cleveland,' 'Anger Management,' 'Criminal Minds,' 'Suburgatory,' & 'Body of Proof'

        Saturday, July 28 - Today's casting updates include new series regulars and upcoming recurring guest stars on NBC's The Office; TV Land's Hot in Cleveland; CBS' Criminal Minds; FX's Anger Management; and ABC's Suburgatory and Body of Proof.

Better With You alum Jake Lacy is joining the upcoming ninth season of NBC's The Office as a new series regular. He joins fellow new regular Clark Duke in replacing exiting stars James Spader, B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling. No details have been released on his character.

Heather Locklear (Melrose Place, Dynasty) will appear in at least three episodes of the upcoming season of TV Lands's Hot in Cleveland. She will play a former Miss Ohio who hires Melanie (Valerie Bertinelli) to work at her PR firm.

Martin Sheen (The West Wing), who will appear in the upcoming ninth episode of FX's Anger Management as the father of Charlie Sheen's character, has been promoted to a series regular should the comedy be renewed for its 90-episode pickup.

Bellamy Young, who has been promoted to a series regular for the upcoming season of ABC's Scandal, will return to CBS' Criminal Minds for at least two episodes this fall. Last season, Young played the love interest of Thomas Gibson's Agent Aaron Hotchner.

Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live) will appear in the upcoming Halloween episode of ABC's Suburgatory's second season. Dratch will play a suburban mom who is an old friend of Sheila Shay's (Ana Gasteyer) although the two of them are constantly locking horns. The episode will also feature flashbacks of these two characters where Gasteyer's own daughter will play her character's younger self.

ABC's Body of Proof is in serious talks with Mark Valley (Human Target, Harry's Law) to join the series upcoming third season in one of two new series regular roles. Valley would play Det. Tommy Sullivan, a onetime love interest of Megan's (Dana Delany) who transfers to Philadelphia to win her back as well as work together to solve cases.
