TV News - 'The Selection,' 'Bad Teacher,' 'Company Town' & 'Bloodline'

Saturday, February 16 - Sean Patrick Thomas has been cast on The CW drama pilot The Selection. He also co-starred on the original Selection pilot last year and will most likely be the only cast member to return. He will play Sylvan Santos, the Queen's close advisor and an expert on royal etiquette.

David Alan Grier (In Living Color) is the first actor cast on CBS' comedy pilot Bad Teacher - an adaptation of the 2011 film. He will play Carl Gaines, the school principal, who is sweet and well-meaning but clueless and easily duped by Meredith's charms and oblivious to her agenda as he believes she has the best interests of the kids at her heart.

Gage Golightly (Teen Wolf, Ringer) has landed the lead role in The CW's drama pilot Company Town. She will play Krista, who has always lived a charmed life and is now happily engaged to Paul, a lieutenant in the Navy, but begins to show her vulnerable side when Paul gets involved in the major scandal.

Tom Everett Scott (Southland) has joined the NBC drama pilot Bloodline. He will play Dr. Christopher Benson, a beloved ER physician at a suburban hospital who's known for his charm and dedication to his patients. An indiscretion years ago led to him impregnating a patient - resulting in Bird (Skyler Samuels), a descendent from an ancient line of killers and mercenaries. As he gets to know his daughter, he'll run into trouble with her adopted father - a deadly martial arts master - and test Western medicine's limits as he treats the injured adversaries Bird leaves in her wake.
