TV News - 'The Walking Dead,' 'The John Mulaney Show,' 'Saturday Night Live,' 'The Mindy Project,' 'The Strain' & 'Dexter'

        Friday, April 26 - Lawrence Gilliard, Jr. (The Wire, Army Wives) has joined the cast of the upcoming fourth season of AMC's The Walking Dead as a new series regular. He will play Bob Stookie, a former army medic who is deeply haunted by his past. He has a charming, self-deprecating but confident public face masking his troubled inside.

Late Night host Jimmy Fallon will make a cameo appearance as himself on the NBC comedy pilot The John Mulaney Show starring Mulaney, Nasim Pedrad, Griffin Newman, Martin Short and Elliot Gould.

NBC's Saturday Night Live has announced its final two hosts and music guests for the season. Former SNL star Kristen Wiig will return as host on May 11 with Vampire Weekend serving as musical guest. For the May 18 season finale, recent Oscar winner Ben Affleck will host with Kanye West as musical guest.

Xosha Roquemore has been promoted to series regular for the already-announced second season of FOX's The Mindy Project. She will first appear on the comedy in a three-episode guest arc at the end of the current season.

Lost vet Kevin Durand has booked a co-starring role on the FX drama pilot The Strain from Guillermo del Toro and Carlton Cuse starring Corey Stoll. He will play Vasily Fet, a second-generation Ukrainian-American and rat exterminator by trade, who enthusiastically joins the war against the vampires who have invaded New York. Under the mentorship of a wizened vampire hunter from Eastern Europe, Fet discovers his once solitary life now has vitality and meaning.

24 alum Julian Sands will guest on the upcoming eighth and final season of Showtime's Dexter. He will play Miles Foster, a wealthy and mysterious international businessman.
