TV News - 'Horizon,' 'Helix,' 'Reign,' 'Revolution,' 'The Strain,' 'The Night Shift,' 'Sons of Anarchy,' 'Bates Motel,' 'Castle,' 'Parks and Recreation' & 'Bones'

        Wednesday, July 24 - Cary Elwes (The Princess Bride, Psych) has landed a leading role on the USA drama pilot Horizon from Bridget Tyler and Gale Anne Hurd. He will play Max Hartman, a mysterious man who leads a complex double life in wartime Washington, D.C.


Jordan Hayes (House at the End of the Street) has joined the cast of Syfy's upcoming drama series Helix from Ronald D. Moore. She will play Dr. Sarah Jordan.

The CW's upcoming drama series Reign has added Luke Roberts (Holby City) and Katie Boland (The Zach Files) in recurring roles. Roberts will play Simon Westbrook, a handsome and quietly menacing English diplomat trying to destroy Mary's (Adelaide Kane) place in the royal court. Boland will play Clarissa, a strange young woman who hides in the shadows after a tragic accident severely disfigured her.

Nicole Ari Parker (Soul Food, The Deep End) will recur on the upcoming second season of NBC's Revolution. She will play Secretary Justine Allenford, a strong and smart leader.

Roger Cross (Arrow, Continuum, Motive) has booked a recurring role on the FX drama pilot The Strain starring Corey Stoll. He will play Dr. Fitzwilliams, Palmer's (Jonathan Hyde) Head of Security as well as as his caregiver.

After her one year run on NBC's Revolution, Daniella Alonsi is returning to the network with a new series regular role on the midseason drama series The Night Shift. She will play Dr. Landry Miller, a sexy, cool and fun-loving tough Texas girl. As the lone psychiatrist on the weekend night shift at the busy San Antonio hospital's emergency department, she sees it all - and thrives on it. The only thing crazier than her cases is the family she grew up in. On the surface, she has her act together but underneath it, she's a bit of a mess - making her a natural fit with her night shift colleagues.

FX will debut the 13 episode sixth season of its top-rated drama series Sons of Anarchy on Tuesday, September at 10/9c. with a special 90-minute premiere.

Michael Eklund (The Call) will appear on a recurring basis on the second season of A&E's Bates Motel. He will play Zane Carpenter, a new upper level player in Dylan's (Max Thieriot) drug family.

Alphas vet Warren Christie will appear on the second episode of the sixth season of ABC's Castle. He will play Brad Parker, a reporter with a penchant for uncovering stories that are detrimental to national security.

Heidi Klum (Project Runway, America's Got Talent) is set to guest star on the hour-long sixth season premiere of NBC's Parks and Recreation. In the episode, Leslie (Amy Poehler) and the gang head to London to receive a "Women in Government" award from an international organization. Klum will play a fellow recipient and mayor of a small town in Denmark who makes Leslie jealous by how much her hometown loves her.

Freddie Prinze, Jr. has been cast in a potentially multi-episode arc on FOX's Bones. He will play Danny, a covert CIA agent who's an old associate of Booth's (David Boreanaz) and also has an interest in Booth and Brennan's (Emily Deschanel) current murder investigation.
