TV News - 'Cougar Town' Star to Guest on 'Undateable'; 'Secret Life' Alum Joins Lifetime Pilot; Plus 10 More Updates!

Brandon Scott (Grey's Anatomy) and Renee Olstead (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) will star on the ABC Family comedy pilot Work Mom. Olstead will play Heather, a new hire at Pow Marketing and is focused, sharp and goal-oriented. After she unexpectedly gets a big promotion, she feels the need to get her just-fired mother (Emily Rutherford) a job and does - in the lowest possible position. Scott will play Craig, Heather's co-worker who is good at inspiring others but not himself. He recommended Heather for the "Team Leader" promotion and then takes her under his wing. He also is quietly attracted to her but she's blind to his interest.

Hallmark's Cedar Cove has promoted Brenna Elliot to series regular for the series' upcoming second season. He plays wealthy home developer Warren Saget on the Andie MacDowell-starring drama.

Lost vet Cynthia Watros has joined the cast of the MTV drama pilot Finding Carter. She will play Elizabeth, Carter's biological mother and a tough police detective who was devastated by the disappearance of her daughter and will stop at nothing to catch her kidnapper.

Rex Lee (Suburgatory) and Jonathan Sadowski ($#*! My Dad Says) have been cast on the ABC Family comedy pilot Young & Hungry. Sadowski will play Nick, a young San Francisco tech entrepreneur who hires Gabi (Emily Osment) as his personal chef. Lee will play Elliott, Nick's metrosexual and high-strung publicist/right-hand man.

Janeane Garofalo (Reality Bites, The West Wing) has booked a role on the Bravo drama pilot Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce starring Lisa Edelstein. She will play Lyla, Vicki's (Edelstein) friend and a legendary entertainment lawyer who is a real shark but also fiercely maternal and involved with the people she loves.

Comedian Jessica Chaffin will appear on an upcoming episode of FOX's New Girl. She will appear in the season's ninth episode as Bertie, a straight-talking bus driver who becomes quite fond of her new passenger, Winston (Lamorne Morris).

Cougar Town star Josh Hopkins will guest star on NBC's midseason comedy series Undateable. He will play Julius, Leslie's (Bianca Kajlich) charming ex who has a long-standing friendship with her brother, Danny (Chris D'Elia).

Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live) is heading to ABC's The Goldbergs for a December episode. He will play a kooky teacher called Mr. Glascott.

Lela Loren (Gang Related), Naturi Naughton (The Client List) and Joseph Sikora (Boardwalk Empire) will co-star on Starz's upcoming drama series Power opposite Omari Hardwick. Loren will play Angela Valdes, an old flame of James' (Hardwick) who unexpectedly re-enters his life. Naughton will play Tasha, James' wife, confidant and willing accomplice. Sikora will play Tommy Egan, James' childhood best friend and business partner.

Girlfriends alum Jill Marie Jones has landed a recurring role on FOX's breakout hit Sleepy Hollow. She will play Cynthia, the former wife of Frank Irving (Orlando Jones) and mother to their teenage daughter, Macey (Amandla Stenberg). She will first appear in the November 25 episode.

Pierce Gagnon (Lopper) has been cast on CBS' upcoming summer drama Extant starring Halle Berry. He will play Berry's son on the series.

Francia Raisa (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) and Breeda Wool have joined the cast of the Lifetime drama pilot Unreal starring Shiri Appleby. Raisa will play Inez, a lesbian producer behind the scenes of the unscripted show who has a knack for finding great talent for the show. Wool will play Faith, a contestant on the show within the show.
