MTV Orders Drama 'Finding Carter' to Series

MTV has ordered its first new series under new programming president Susanne Daniels with a 12-episode order to family drama series Finding Carter created by Emily Silver and starring Skins alum Kathryn Prescott.

Finding Carter is about teenage girl Carter (Prescott) who seemingly has the perfect life with fun-loving single mom Lori (Milena Govich), until she discovers Lori abducted her as a toddler. Now Carter must return to the family who thought they had lost her. As she navigates brand new parents (Cynthia Watros, Alexis Denisof), a twin sister (Anna Jacoby-Heron), high school and boys, she vows to find Lori before the only mom she's ever known is gone forever.

Zac Pullam and Nolan Sotillo also star, with Meredith Baxter and Robert Pine boarding the show in new recurring roles as Carter's grandparents.

Silver and Terri Minsky will executive produce the upcoming series. Scott Speer directed the pilot. No premiere date for the drama has been set.
