Casting News - Betsy Brandt Joins 'The Club'; Tessa Ferrer & Gaius Charles to Depart 'Grey's Anatomy'; Plus 5 More Updates!

ABC's The Club, Grey's Anatomy & Mistresses; CBS' CSI; Showtime's Shameless; and USA's Dig & Rush.





ABC's MISTRESSES
  • Revenge vet Justin Hartley has booked a recurring role on the summer drama's second season. He will play Scott, a new love interest for Joss (Jes Macallan), a nice plastic surgeon in Los Angeles.
ABC's THE CLUB
  • Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad, The Michael J. Fox Show) has been tapped to play one of the lead roles on the straight-to-series drama. She will play Leslie, the wife of one of the brothers who own the club who just ran off with their father's trophy wife stepmother after squandering the club's finances, leaving behind his wife, who has a legal consulting practice, and their son.
CBS' CSI
  • Original series regular Paul Guilfoyle is departing the long-running procedural at the end of its current season. His character, Captain Jim Brass, will be written out in the series' May 7 season finale.
USA's RUSH
  • Adam Fierro - who has most recently worked on The Shield, 24, Dexter and The Walking Dad - has been tapped to serve as executive producer/showrunner on the recently picked up drama series created by Jonathan Levine and starring Tom Ellis.
USA's DIG
  • Actress-singer Alison Sudol (A Fine Frenzy, Transparent) has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming event series starring Jason Isaacs and Anne Heche. She will play Emma Wilson, an American intern working on a dig site in Jerusalem who befriends Peter (Isaacs).
SHOWTIME's SHAMELESS
  • After competing in the drama fields for its first three seasons, the hit drama series starring Emmy Rossum and William H. Macy will be submitted as a comedy this year after a request by executive producer and showrunner John Wells was granted by the TV Academy.
ABC's GREY's ANATOMY
  • Tessa Ferrer and Gaius Charles will not continue on the medical drama beyond its current tenth season. They play 2nd year residents Leah Murphy and Shane Ross. Both joined the series in Season 9 as recurring before being upped to series regulars for Season 10. It's currently unclear if either will make any guest appearances in the future.
