USA Renews 'Suits' for Season 5

Today, USA has announced a 16-episode fifth season renewal for its hit drama series Suits. The drama currently ranks as the cable network's highest rated scripted series. The Season 4 summer finale is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20 at 9/8c.

"Suits continues to fire on all cylinders, delivering provocative storytelling and complex characters that viewers can't get enough of," said Chris McCumber, President of USA Network. "With some of the best writing on television, and a brilliant ensemble cast, we anticipate a spectacular fifth season for a series that has become a marquee property for USA."

Suits centers on a fast-paced Manhattan corporate law firm led by legendary lawyers Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres). This season saw a major shift at the firm that left Harvey at odds with his brilliant, but not-technically-legal associate Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), who left to head to Wall Street as an investment banker. As the series builds to its summer finale, Mike has returned to Pearson Specter to resume his place beside Harvey, but Louis'  (Rick Hoffman) secret threatens to unravel the firm. The series also stars Sarah Rafferty and Meghan Markle.

From Universal Cable Productions, Suits was created and is executive produced by Aaron Korsh. Additional executive producers are Doug Liman, David Bartis and Gene Klein. Suits is shot on location in Toronto.
