Casting News - 'True Detective' Officially Casts Colin Farrell & Vince Vaughn; 'Agent Carter' Adds Shea Whigham; Plus 4 More Updates!

ABC's Agent Carter; CBS' 2 Broke Girls; HBO's True Detective; Starz's Blunt Talk & The Girlfriend Experience; and USA's Sirens.





STARZ's BLUNT TALK
  • Jacki Weaver (Gracepoint) and Adrian Scarborough (The King's Speech) have been cast opposite Patrick Stewart on the upcoming comedy. Weaver will play Rosalie Winter, Blunt's (Stewart) straight-talking, tough and motherly producer-manager, who looks after his career and helps shape the Blunt Talk newscast. She and Blunt have been working together for 20 years and once had a one-night stand. Scarborough will play Harry Chandler, Blunt's manservant who rivals him in debauchery.
USA's SIRENS
  • Jonathan Sadowski (Young & Hungry) and Steve Schirripa (The Sopranos) will appear on the second season of the hit comedy. Sadowski will play Josh, a grateful recent save who sheds light on the sometimes unique relationship between patient and EMT. Schirripa will play Jimmy O, an infamous local mobster who spurs the guys to consider making some changes in the rig.
ABC's AGENT CARTER
  • Boardwalk Empire co-star Shea Whigham has joined the cast of the midseason drama starring Hayley Atwell. He will play SSR Chief Roger Dooley, the tough but fair-minded man who will oversee Agents Carter (Atwell), Thompson (Chad Michael Murray) and Sousa (Enver Gjokaj).
CBS' 2 BROKE GIRLS
  • Victoria's Secret supermodels Lily Aldridge and Martha Hunt will guest star as themselves on the December 8 episode of the hit comedy. In the episode, the models rent out Max (Kat Dennings) and Caroline's (Beth Behrs) apartment for a girls' weekend in order to have an authentic Williamsburg experience.
STARZ's THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE
  • Riley Keough (The Runaways, Magic Mike) has been cast as the female lead on the upcoming anthology series. No further details about her character have been released at this time.
HBO's TRUE DETECTIVE
  • Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn have officially been confirmed as two of the stars for the upcoming second season of the hit anthology series. Additionally, Justin Lin has signed on to direct the first two episodes. Farrell will play Ray Velcoro, a compromised detective whose allegiances are torn between his masters in a corrupt police department and the mobster who owns him. Vaughn will play Frank Semyon, a career criminal in danger of losing his empire when his move into legitimate enterprise is upended by the murder of a business partner.
