Casting News - James Wolk Lands Lead Role on 'Zoo'; ABC Family Sets January Premiere Dates for 6 Series; Plus 4 More Updates!

ABC's Nashville; ABC Family's Baby Daddy, Chasing Life, The Fosters, Melissa & Joey, Pretty Little Liars & Switched at Birth; CBS' Zoo; FOX's Bob's Burgers & Mulaney; FX's The Americans; and WGN America's Outsiders.




CBS' ZOO
  • James Wolk (Mad Men, The Crazy Ones) has landed the lead role on the upcoming summer drama. He will play Jackson Oz, a young, renegade American zoologist who spends his days running safaris in the wilds of Africa when he begins noticing the strange behavior of the animals. As the assaults become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, he is thrust into the race to unlock the mystery of the pandemic before there's no place left for people to hide.
FOX's BOB'S BURGERS and MULANEY
  • After several episodes of low ratings, FOX's new sitcom Mulaney will now air Sundays at 7:30/6:30c. replacing Bob's Burgers which will now air Sundays at 9:30/8:30c. Bob's Burgers will debut in the new time slot on November 16, while Mulaney won't debut in its new time until November 23.
ABC's NASHVILLE
  • Nick Jandl (Green Lantern) has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's third season. He will play Dr. Caleb Rand, a direct-but-charming physician who becomes intimately involved in the lives of two main characters (whose identities weren't immediately disclosed).
ABC FAMILY's PRETTY LITTLE LIARS, SWITCHED AT BIRTH, MELISSA & JOEY, BABY DADDY, THE FOSTERS and CHASING LIFE
  • Pretty Little Liars will continue its fifth season on Tuesday, January 6 at 8/7c. Switched at Birth will begin its fourth season on a new night and time - January 6 at 9/8c. Melissa & Joey and Baby Daddy will kick off their fourth seasons on Wednesday, January 14 at 8/7c. and 8:30/7:30c. respectively. The Fosters and Chasing Life will continue their respective seasons on Monday, January 19 at 8/7c. and 9/8c.
FX's THE AMERICANS
  • Julia Garner (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming third season. She will play Kimberly Breland, a young woman who unexpectedly and dangerously crosses paths with the Jennings (Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys).
WGN AMERICA's OUTSIDERS
  • Thomas M. Wright (The Bridge, Top of the Lake) has been cast in a lead role on the upcoming drama series (formerly Titans). He will play Sheriff Houghton, a good cop, a functioning bureaucrat in a world that doesn't ask a lot of him, but just below the surface is a deeply troubled man.
