Casting News - Lucy Lawless & Stuart Townsend Join 'Salem'; 'The Walking Dead' Adds New Regular; Plus 5 More Updates!

ABC Family's Stitchers; Amazon's Bosch; AMC's The Walking Dead; FX's The Strain; HBO's Silicon Valley; Netflix's Wet Hot American Summer; and WGN America's Salem.




HBO's SILICON VALLEY
  • Suzanne Cryer (Two Guys and a Girl) will replace Rebecca Creskoff as a new series regular on the comedy's upcoming second season. She will play Laurie Bream, a managing partner at Raviga Capital.
NETFLIX's WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER
  • Josh Charles (The Good Wife), John Slattery (Mad Men), Randall Park (The Interview), Michaela Watkins (Trophy Wife), Jayma Mays (Glee), Paul Scheer (The League), Rob Huebel (Transparent) and Richard Schiff (The West Wing) have joined the cast of the ensemble comedy series.
FX's THE STRAIN
  • Joaquín Cosío (Quantum of Solace) has joined the cast of the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Angel Guzman Hurtado, a major masked wrestling star in Mexico, appearing both in the ring and in a series of movies in which his character battled foes including vampires. A knee injury ended his career and the now vampire apocalypse brings his skills back to use.
AMAZON's BOSCH
  • The streaming service will premiere all 10 episodes of its first original drama series starring Titus Welliver on Friday, February 13.
ABC FAMILY's STITCHERS
  • Salli Richardson-Whitfield (Eureka), Ritesh Rajan (Jungle Book) and Allison Scagliotti (Warehouse 13) have joined the upcoming drama in regular roles. Richardson-Whitfield will play Maggie, a skilled veteran of covert operations and the head of the secret program of 'stitchers.' Rajan will play Linus, a socially immature bioelectrical engineer and communications technician. Scagliotti will play Camille, Kirsten's (Emma Ishta) roommate, a gifted computer science grad student who is also recruited to use her skills to assist Kirsten in her new role as a 'stitcher.'
WGN AMERICA's SALEM
  • Lucy Lawless, Stuart Townsend, Joe Doyle and Oliver Bell are joining the drama for its upcoming second season. Lawless will play Countess Marburg, one of the last members of a line of powerful German witches. Townsend will play Samuel Wainwright, an English doctor intent on exposing Salem's secrets while closely guarding his own. Doyle will play Baron Sebastian Marburg, the charming son of Lawless' character. Bell will play Mary's (Janet Montgomery) presumed-dead son.
AMC's THE WALKING DEAD
  • Newcomer Ross Marquand will join the drama for the second half of the fifth season as a series regular. No details on his character were made immediately available - like so much of the casting on the zombie drama.
