Casting News - Brit Morgan to Play Livewire on CBS' 'Supergirl'; Laurie Holden Exits 'Chicago Med'; Plus 4 More Updates!

CBS' The Big Bang Theory, Scorpion & Supergirl; FOX's Gotham & Grandfathered; and NBC's Chicago Med.





CBS' SCORPION
  • The Last Ship star Travis Van Winkle will appear in an upcoming episode of the drama's second season. He will play Ensign Nathan Hall, who gets trapped with Walter (Elyes Gabel), Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Cabe (Robert Patrick) in a downed submarine and must figure out how to escape before they run out of air.
CBS' SUPERGIRL
  • Brit Morgan (True Blood, Graceland) has landed a guest spot on the drama's upcoming first season. She will play Leslie Willis aka Livewire, a confident, abrasive and funny shock-jock who works for CatCo Media. When an accident makes her as dangerous and shocking as her worlds, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) must stop her.
CBS' THE BIG BANG THEORY
  • Melissa Tang (The Goodwin Games, Mom) has booked a guest role on the comedy's upcoming ninth season. She will play the woman Leonard (Johnny Galecki) kissed while on his North Sea expedition. She will pop up in the second episode of the season.
FOX's GRANDFATHERED
  • Criss Angel will appear as himself on an upcoming episode of the new comedy starring John Stamos. In the episode, Jimmy (Stamos) hires Angel to be the magician at his granddaughter's birthday party.
NBC's CHICAGO MED
  • Laurie Holden has exited the cast of the freshman medical drama ahead of its November debut. In a statement, she said, "I am so grateful to Dick Wolf, my fellow cast members, NBC and the entire Chicago Med team for their understanding. Sometimes we must make tough choices and, for family reasons, not doing Chicago Med is one of those for me at this time. I know the show is going to be a huge success and I'll be watching." Her role will not be recast.
FOX's GOTHAM
  • Leo Fitzpatrick (The Wire) has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. He will play Joe Pike, the leader of a notorious gang of arsonists known as the Pike Brothers.
