FOX is reducing the episode order for one of its upcoming midseason dramas, Lookinglass. The drama will now only produce 11 episodes instead of the original 13.
The network hasn't determined when the drama will air next year. However, the network says that the reduced order for Lookinglass is due to limitations on the schedule. Rosewood, The Grinder and Grandfathered have all received full 22-episode orders from the network while midseason will also see the return of American Idol and The X-Files as well as the debuts of new shows Lucifer and Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life.
The drama follows the life of Jimmy Prtichard, a 75-year-old former Los Angeles County sheriff who was morally corrupt and later disgraced and forced to retire. After he is killed in a robbery at his son's home, Pritchard is brought back to life in the body of a younger man by a billionaire and a bioengineer. Despite having a new life and a chance to relive his life and to help fight crime, the temptations that led to his career being tarnished continue to haunt him.
The cast includes Rob Kazinsky, Adhir Kalyan, Dilshad Vadsaria, Tim DeKay, Ciara Bravo and Vanessa Lengies.
Executive producers for the drama include Rand Ravich, Howard Gordon, Michael Cuesta and Hugh Fitzpatrick. 20th Century Fox Television and Teakwood Lane Productions produce.
