NBC Sets January Premiere Date for 'Shades of Blue' Starring Jennifer Lopez

NBC is starting to unveil its midseason schedule today with the announcement that it's Jennifer Lopez-starring drama Shades of Blue will debut on Thursday, January 14 at 9/8c. with a two-hour premiere event. The series will move to its regular 10/9c. slot the following week.





In addition to Lopez, the drama stars Ray Liotta, Drea de Matteo, Warren Kole, Dayo Okeniyi, Vincent Laresca and Sarah Jeffery.

The drama was created by Adi Hasak, who executive produces with Lopez, Ryan Seacrest, Nina Wass, Jack Orman, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Benny Medina and director Barry Levinson. Universal Television, Ryan Seacrest Productions and Nuyorican Productions produce.

Official logline: Harlee Santos (Lopez) is a charismatic single mother and resourceful detective at the heart of a tight-knit crew of Brooklyn detectives, led by the enigmatic Lt. Matt Wozniak (Liotta) who often leads the team to step outside the limitations of the law in order to effectively protect their precinct and their own. As a big illegal job looms on the horizon, the FBI catches Harlee in the act and pits her against her own unit. As a newly turned informant, Harlee struggles to safeguard her on-the-job family and avoid arrest in order to stay with her daughter. Harlee engages in a perilous dance with her FBI handler, Special Agent Stahl (Kole), who develops an unhealthy obsession with her. Meanwhile, Wozinak begins an all-consuming hunt for the informant. Pressure mounts as the crew struggles to perform their brand of street justice under FBI watch.
