FOX's Untitled Lee Daniels Project & Urban Cowboy; and NBC's Imaginary Friend & Untitled Dan Fogelman Project.





NBC's UNTITLED DAN FOGELMAN PROJECT
  • Susan Kelechi Watson (Louie) and Chrissy Metz (American Horror Story: Freak Show) have been cast on the dramedy pilot written by Dan Fogelman. Watson will play Beth. All other character details were not immediately made available. Metz will play Kate, Kevin's (Justin Hartley) twin sister who struggles with her eating habits and body image.
FOX's UNTITLED LEE DANIELS PROJECT
  • Benjamin Bratt (Private Practice, 24: Live Another Day) has landed the male lead on the drama pilot written by Lee Daniels. He will play Jahil, a talent manager with taste, a hidden life and drive for redemption who believes his new client Star (Jude Demorest) and her group are his ticket back to the top. He is also Carlotta's (Queen Latifah) former manager and ex-boyfriend.
NBC's IMAGINARY FRIEND
  • Megan Neuringer (Slow Learners), Brandon Scott (Grey's Anatomy) and Alex Newell (Glee) have booked lead roles on the comedy pilot written by Kassia Miller. Additionally, Paul Briganti will direct the pilot. Neuringer will play Wendy, an intelligent yet unmotivated woman who discovers a special and unexpected way of dealing with her mediocre life. Scott will play Brian, the IT guy at the company where Wendy works and her potential life interest. Newell will play Wendy's imaginary friend.
FOX's URBAN COWBOY
  • The broadcast network has opted not to go forward with its modern re-imagining of the 1980 feature film. The pilot was written and directed by Craig Brewer. The project followed star-crossed young lovers Kyle (Alfonso Herrera) and Gaby (Nathalie Kelley) as they pursue their dreams and passions through the sweat of line dancing in honky tonks, the grime of the oil refineries  and the glamour of modern Texas. The cast also featured Edward James Olmos, Jim Belushi, Bryana Salaz, Lindsey Gort and Riley Smith.
