FOX's 24: LEGACY
  • Homeland star Miranda Otto has been tapped to play the female lead on the drama pilot - which serves as a sequel series to hit drama 24. She will play Rebecca Ingram, the blazing and smart former head of the CTU. Now married to a senator, she struggles with second thoughts about having left the counter-terrorism agency.
ABC's CONVICTION
  • The network has handed out a pilot order to drama Conviction written by Liz Friedman. She will executive produce with Mark Gordon, Nicholas Pepper and pilot director Liz Friedlander. ABC Studios and The Mark Gordon Company will produce. The project tells the story of Carter Morrison, the brilliant but ne'er-do-well daughter of a former president who is blackmailed into taking a job as the head of Los Angeles' newly created Conviction Integrity Unit. There, she and her team of lawyers, investigators and forensic experts work to examine cases where there's credible suspicion that the wrong person may have been convicted of a crime.
ABC's MODEL WOMAN
  • The network has also ordered a pilot for drama Model Woman written by Helen Childress. She will executive produce with Rosalie Swedlin and Scarlett Lacey. TriStar Television and Anonymous Content will produce. Inspired by Robert Lacey's 2015 book Model Woman: Eileen Ford and the Business of Beauty, the project is set in the late 1970s during the notorious Model Wars. The drama centers on Bertie Geiss, a tempestuous matriarch and uncompromising businesswoman at the helm of an internationally renowned modeling agency.
