ABC's Designated Survivor, Last Man Standing & Mistresses; AMC's Fear the Walking Dead; FOX's Bordertown, Empire & The Last Man on Earth; Netflix's One Day at a Time; and USA's Eyewitness.




ABC's LAST MAN STANDING
  • Reba McEntire (Reba, Malibu Country) will appear in an upcoming episode of the comedy's fifth season. She will play Billie, a famous adventurer who travels the world doing the kind of outdoor stuff that Mike (Tim Allen) used to do. She also happens to be his former college sweetheart. She has designed a line of outdoor gear that Ed (Hector Elizondo) wants to sell exclusively at Outdoor Man. But Mike suspects that Billie is still in love with him when she agrees to Ed's deal.
USA's EYEWITNESS
  • Tyler Young (The Avatars) has been cast as one of the two young leads on the upcoming drama series from Adi Hasak. Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) has signed on to direct the first two episodes. Additionally, Scott Peters (V) has joined the series as an executive produce and will direct several episodes of the first season. Young will play Philip O'Brien, a sensitive yet tough boy from the project who's seen more pain than anyone ever should. He gets a shot to start over with his foster mother in an idyllic small town. There, he's on the verge of falling in love with a boy from school, Lukas, when they witness a quadruple murder.
NETFLIX's ONE DAY AT A TIME
  • Pamela Fryman (How I Met Your Mother) is set to direct the first episode of the upcoming remake of the hit Normar Lear sitcom. Written by Gloria Calderon Kellett and Mike Royce, the project centers on a recently separated former military mom who is now navigating a new single life while raising her radical teenaged daughter and socially adept tween son, with the "help" of her old school mother (Rita Moreno) and a friends-without-benefits building manager named Schneider.
FOX's EMPIRE
  • The Leftovers star Kevin Carroll has booked a major recurring role on the drama's second season. He will play Tariq Vincent, who started off as one of the finest cops ever to work the streets of Philadelphia, then advanced to a post at the FBI where he eventually rose to the head of his entire department. He's a closer who is extremely bright and supremely confident. He never shows his hand, but doesn't hide his intentions. He moves without remorse yet will always offer a person what's fair before taking them out.
ABC's DESIGNATED SURVIVOR
  • Natasha McElhone (Californication), Maggie Q (Nikita), Kal Penn (House) and Italia Ricci (Chasing Life) have been cast on the upcoming drama starring Kiefer Sutherland. Additionally, Amy B. Harris (The Carrie Diaries) has joined the drama as executive producer and showrunner. McElhone will play Jessica, Tom's (Sutherland) wife who is a smart and strong EEOC attorney. Q will play Hannah, the lead FBI agent on the Capitol's bombing who is professionally in command but whose personal life is a mess. Penn will play Seth, a speech writer who helps Tom write his first one after the attack. Ricci will play Emily, Tom's Chief of Staff.
ABC's MISTRESSES
  • Jerry O'Connell (Crossing Jordan) will appear in at least four episodes of the drama's upcoming fourth season. He will play Robert, Karen's (Yunjin Kim) nanny who also moonlights as an actor. Things start with him being in charge of changing diapers, but there's a possibility he mike become an inappropriate love interest to Karen as well.
AMC's FEAR THE WALKING DEAD
  • Veronica Diaz (Complications, Behold My Heart) has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. She will play Vanessa, who is smart and deceptive with a look innocence but who throws herself into her work with reckless abandon.
FOX's THE LAST MAN ON EARTH and BORDERTOWN
  • FOX has announced that the final eight episodes of The Last Man on Earth's second season will start airing on Sunday, March 6 at 9:30/8:30c. That also means that Seth MacFarlane's new animated comedy Bordertown is being bumped to earlier in the night. It will start airing at 7/6c. on March 6 as well.
