CBS' MACGYVER
- X-Men alum Lucas Till has been tapped to play the title character on the drama pilot reboot of the hit 80s' series. Joshua Boone has also joined the pilot. Till will play MacGyver, a 20-something who gets recruited into a clandestine organization where he uses his knack for solving problems in unconventional ways to help prevent disasters from happening. Boone will play Gunner, MacGyver's best friend from high school.
NBC's CHICAGO JUSTICE
- Lorraine Toussaint (Orange Is the New Black, Rosewood) is set to reprise her role from Law & Order as defense attorney Shambala Green in the backdoor pilot for the latest spinoff of the Chicago franchise. Her appearance in the pilot is a guest-starring role that shouldn't affect her full-time duties on FOX's Rosewood.
FOX's HR
- Esai Morales (Criminal Minds, The Brink) will co-star on the comedy pilot starring Judy Greer and Patton Oswalt. He will play Bruce, who is usually unclogging toilets of fixing someone's foot heater but always has a pleasant, chill and strangely sexy demeanor.
CBS' THE GREAT INDOORS
- Susannah Fielding (4.3.2.1.) has been cast on the comedy pilot starring Joel McHale and Stephen Fry. She will play Brooke, Antonio's (Fry) daughter who co-runs "The Great Outdoors" with him.
NBC's UNTITLED VLADIMIR CAAMANO & ADAM SZTYKIEL PROJECT
- Liche Ariza (The Blacklist, Blue Bloods) has joined the cast of the comedy pilot written by Vladimir Caamaño and Adam Sztykiel. He will play Julio, Vlad's (Caamaño) father, a hard-working, good-hearted, endearingly melodramatic family man who has been in this country since 1970. A building super, Julio shares a rent-free basement unit with his two sons, while his wife (whom he adores) has a nearby subsidized apartment.
