Casting News - Celia Imrie Joins FX's 'Better Things'; NBC Reduces Episode Order for 'Grimm'; Plus 1 More Update!

Casting News - April 22, 2016

FX's Better Things; NBC's Grimm; and SundanceTV's Rectify.

FX's BETTER THINGS
  • Celia Imrie (The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel) has been cast on the upcoming comedy starring Pamela Adlon. She will play Phyllis, Sam's (Adlon) spotlight-stealing English mom. She's a loving and colluding grandma but a frustrating mother, an issue only compounded by the fact that she lives across the street.
SUNDANCETV's RECTIFY
  • Rebecca Tilney (Nashville, Vice Principals) has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming fourth and final season. She will play Maggie Hines, the project director at New Canaan.
NBC's GRIMM
  • After being renewed for a sixth season two weeks ago, the broadcast network is now reducing the initial episode order for the new season. Instead of being picked up for a traditional 22 episodes - which the show has done for all five previous seasons - the new season will have an initial order of 13 episodes. The option is still open for NBC to order more later on.
