'Lost in Space' Remake Ordered to Series at Netflix

Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of original drama series Lost in Space based on the beloved 1960s sci-fi classic. The series will premiere on the streaming service in 2018.






Lost in Space centers around the Robinson family, who is forced to come together in a time of crisis. Stranded light years from their intended destination, they find themselves battling a strange new alien environment and also their own personal demons. Equal parts family drama and sci-fi adventure, it is a survival story for he ages.

Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless developed the drama, with Zack Estrin serving as showrunner for the first season. All three will executive produce with Neil Marshall, Kevin Burns, Jon Jashni and Mac Helwig. Marshall has also signed on to direct several episodes. Legendary Television produces for Netflix.
