Casting News - Scoot McNairy & Sam Waterston Board 'Godless'; Camryn Manheim Joins 'Major Crimes'; Plus 3 More Updates!

FOX's Pitch; Netflix's Altered Carbon & Godless; and TNT's Major Crimes & Will.

  • Christian Ochoa (Too Close to Home) and Kelly Jenrette (Grandfathered) have been cast in recurring roles on the upcoming drama starring Kylie Bunbury. Additionally, Josh Peck (Grandfathered) and Parker Croft (Once Upon a Time) will appear as guest stars. Ochoa will play Livan Duarte, a superstar catcher who recently defected from Cuba. He has just become a free agent and Oscar (Mark Consuelos) is determined to bring him to San Diego. Jenrette will play Rhonda, Oscar's loyal assistant. Peck will play Ross O'Malley, an overeager nerd who works an analyst for Oscar. Croft will play Jordan, an old friend and high school teammate of Ginny's (Bunbury).
  • Scoot McNairy, Sam Waterston, Kim Coates, Audrey Moore, Christiane Seidel, Randy Oglesby, Justin Welborn and Christopher Fitzgerald will round out the main cast of the upcoming limited series. McNairy will play Bill McNue, the aging sheriff of La Belle. Waterston will play Marshal John Cook, the law in Santa Fe and on the hunt for Frank Griffin (Jeff Daniels). Coates will play Ed Logan, an arrogant and abrasive company man who comes into La Belle. Moore will play Sarah Doyle, a randy woman in her thirties dying for a man's company. Seidel will play Martha, a mysterious German woman who raises some suspicion. Oglesby will play Asa Leopold, one of the only surviving men who runs the dry goods store. Welborn will play Floyd Wilson, the skillful tracker in Griffin's gang of outlaws. Fitzgerald will play J.J. Valentine, the smooth talking president of the Quicksilver Mining Company looking to take over the mine in La Belle.
  • Camryn Manheim (The Practice, Person of Interest) has booked a major recurring role on the drama's fifth season. She will play a Deputy Chief of Operations in the LAPD who is in the running to replace Russell Taylor (Robert Gossett) as Assistant Chief of Special Operations. She will vie for the job with Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) and a third, male candidate.
  • Chris Conner (Bones) and Ato Essandoh (Vinyl) have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Joel Kinnaman. Conner will play Poe, a centuries-old, highly-evolved Artificial Intelligence who is currently inhabiting the psyche of Edgar Allen Poe. He is the proprietor of The Raven, a luxury hotel that caters to the more discerning guest who values the ideals of an older, more civilized age. Essandoh will play Vernon Elliot, an ex-Protectorate Tactical Marine whose wife was imprisoned and whose daughter was killed. A man with little to live for, save the hope of bringing his family back together. By all accounts, he should be the sworn enemy of Takeshi Kovacs (Kinnaman), but their proclivity for violence and family draws them together.
  • Max Bennett (The Hollow Crown, Endeavour) has landed a series regular role on the upcoming drama starring Laurie Davidson. He will play Robert Southwell, Will's (Davidson) cousin and the most wanted man in England. His words are more dangerous than the Spanish Armada. A messianic, charismatic leader bent on fomenting Catholic rebellion, he tries to draw Will into his heady world of espionage and religious fundamentalism. Tied by bonds of duty, family and faith, Will struggles to reconcile his relationship with this seductively dangerous man.
