TruTV Gives Series Order to Comedy 'I'm Sorry' Starring Andrea Savage

TruTV has given a series order to its third original scripted series - comedy I'm Sorry created by and starring Andrea Savage. The 10-episode first season will debut sometime in 2017.

The comedy follows seemingly confident comedy writer, wife and mom Andrea (Savage), who comically exposes her inner immaturity and neuroses through unexpected life situations.

Joining Savage as series regulars in the first season are Tom Everett Scott as Andrea's more straitlaced husband Mike and Olive Petrucci as Andrea and Mike's inquisitive daughter Amelia.

The pilot features June Squibb, Jason Mantzoukas, Gary Anthony Williams, Gillian Vigman, Maya Erskine and LaMonica Garett as guest stars.

Savage executive produces the series with Jessica Elbaum, Jason Zaro, Billy Rosenberg, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer. Kablamo! and Gloria Sanchez Productions produce.

"Andrea draws storytelling inspiration from her own life and has a unique ability to make horrifying moments somehow charming and hilarious," said Marissa Ronca, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming, TruTV. "We love this project and her point of view because it's smart, nuanced, relatable and, most importantly, funny - and the perfect fit for the type of distinct, creator-driven comedy we'e curating at TruTV."

"I am thrilled to apologize in advance to my family, my friends and to myself for the shame I will be bringing upon us all," added Savage.
