Amazon Renews 'Sneaky Pete' for Season 2

Just a week after releasing the entire first season, Amazon has renewed its original drama series Sneaky Pete for a second season. The streaming service touts that the drama ranks as its second-most-streamed original scripted series on its opening day.

The series follows Marius, a recently released convict who adopts the identity of his cellmate in order to avoid his past life.

The drama stars Giovanni Ribisi, Marin Ireland, Shane McRae, Libe Barer, Michael Drayer, Peter Gerety and Margo Martindale. Bryan Cranston recurred throughout the first season.

Cranston and David Shore co-created the drama. Cranston executive produces with showrunner Graham Yost, Michael Dinner, Fred Golan, James Degus and Seth Gordon. Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios produce.

"Bryan Cranston and Graham Yost have done a masterful job of steering the cast to fantastic performances," said Joe Lewis, Head of Comedy and Drama, Amazon Studios. "Both the critical response and our customers' engagement with the series are key factors in our enthusiasm to bring our audience a second season of Sneaky Pete."
