TNT Renews 'The Librarians' for Season 4

Just two days after airing its third season finale, TNT has renewed its original drama series The Librarians for a fourth season. The new season will premiere sometime later this year.

TNT notes that the third season of the drama is currently averaging 5.4 million viewers in most recent viewing data.

A continuation of a series of TV movies, the drama stars Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, John Harlan Kim and John Larroquette. Noah Wyle - who starred in all of the TV movies - recurs in the series.

John Rogers developed the series. He serves as executive producer with Wyle, Dean Devlin and Mark Roskin. Electric Entertainment and Kung Fu Monkey Productions produce for TNT.

The Librarians is the latest series at TNT to get a renewal over the last few weeks - joining the recently picked up Major Crimes and Good Behavior. Other original series coming back later this year for new seasons at TNT include The Last Ship and Animal Kingdom.
