Amazon has renewed its original drama series Goliath for a second season, it was announced today. Along with the renewal, the streaming service has also tapped Clyde Phillips (Dexter) to take over as showrunner for the new season.
So far, Billy Bob Thornton is the only cast member Amazon has confirmed will return for Season 2. The other cast members in the first season included William Hurt, Maria Bello, Olivia Thirlby, Nina Arianda, Molly Parker, Tania Raymonde, Sarah Wynter and Britain Dalton.
David E. Kelley and Jonathan Shapiro created the drama. They will continue to executive produce the second season with Phillips, Ross Fineman, David Semel and Lawrence Trilling. In addition to Goliath, Kelley is also the lead writer on HBO's limited series Big Little Lies and Audience's upcoming drama Mr. Mercedes.
