FX's Versace: American Crime Story; HBO's Sharp Objects; and Hulu's The Looming Tower.





FX's VERSACE: AMERICAN CRIME STORY
  • Oscar winner Penélope Cruz (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Nine) will star in the upcoming third season of the hit anthology series. She will play Donatella Versace, the sister of slain fashion designer Gianni Versace (Edgar Ramirez), who took over the company following his death.
HBO's SHARP OBJECTS
  • The Mindy Project alum Chris Messina has joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Amy Adams. He will play Detective Richard Willis, who is brought in from Kansas City to provide support to a small town Sheriff searching for the killer of a young girl. His investigation stalls until he meets Camille (Adams) who is covering the crime for a St. Louis paper. The lines between their professional and personal relationship are blurred as they try to solve this mystery.
HULU's THE LOOMING TOWER
  • Peter Sarsgaard (The Killing, Jackie) will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Jeff Daniels and Tahar Rahim. He will play Martin Schmidt, a CIA analyst who invariably believes he's by far the smartest person in the room. Under orders to share intelligence with John O'Neill (Daniels) and the FBI, he opts instead to hoard information under the misguided notion that the CIA is the only agency equipped to battle potential terrorist threats.
