TNT's THE ALIENIST
- Brian Geraghty (Chicago P.D.) has been tapped to replace Sean Astin on the upcoming drama starring Daniel Brühl and Luke Evans. He will play Teddy Roosevelt, a brilliant and ambitious yet principled crusading reformist determined to clear up corruption in the police force he now heads. While usually inured to crime in New York, he becomes outraged over the fact that children are being murdered in his city and develops a warlike zeal to find he perpetrator. The recast happened due to scheduling difficulties with Astin struggling to juggle production of The Alienist in Budapest and the second season of Stranger Things in Atlanta.
