Syfy has renewed its original drama series The Magicians for a third season, it was announced today. The new season will include 13 episodes and debut in 2018.
The drama is based on Lev Grossman's best-selling novels. The second season is up year-over-year among viewers 18-49 (up 15 percent), 18-34 (23 percent) and total viewers (6 percent).
The drama stars Jason Ralph, Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleman, Arjun Gupta, Summer Bishil, Jade Tailor and Rick Worthy.
Sera Gamble and John McNamara developed the series. They executive produce with Mike Cahill, Michael London, Janice Williams, Scott Smith and Henry Alonso Myers. Universal Cable Productions produces.
