Casting News - 'Fargo' Adds Mary McDonnell; John Noble and Rachel Nichols to Recur on 'The Librarians'; Plus 2 More Updates!

Casting News - May 10, 2017

The CW's The 100; FX's Fargo; TBS' Untitled Tracy Morgan Comedy; and TNT's The Librarians.

TBS' UNTITLED TRACY MORGAN COMEDY
  • The Carmichael Show star Tiffany Haddish will co-star on the upcoming comedy starring Tracy Morgan. She will play Shay, Tray's (Morgan) girlfriend. She is heartbroken when he sends her packing while in prison, hoping to spare her a long and hopeless wait. When Tray is released, some 15 years later, he finds that Shay has transformed from a tough girl from the streets to an ultra-refined socialite who is now married to a white guy, who is the antithesis of Tray.
FX's FARGO
  • Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Galactica, Major Crimes) will appear in the drama's current third season. She will play Ruby Goldfarb, the so-called storage queen of The Great Lakes region who offers Emmit Stussy (Ewan McGregor) a way out of the mess he's in.
TNT's THE LIBRARIANS
  • John Noble (Fringe) and Rachel Nichols (Continuum) have landed recurring roles on the drama's upcoming fourth season. Noble will play Monsignor Vega, a Vatican bishop who is secretly the head of the Heretical Order of the Shadows. Driven by their radical beliefs, the 300-year-old sect of the Roman Catholic Church is focused on bringing about the return of the Dark Ages. To do so, they must first destroy the Library. Nichols play Nicole Noone, a skilled fighter and Flynn's (Noah Wyle) previous guardian, who he'd thought perished 13 years ago. Nicole was the one who helped Flynn adjust to his new responsibilities when the Librarian had just taken on his new mantle.
THE CW's THE 100
  • After starring on the drama for all four seasons, Isaiah Washington will not return as a series regular for the drama's already announced fifth season. He has played Thelonious Jaha since the pilot. This season he's been crucial in helping his people find a bunker to survive the pending nuclear apocalypse. At this point, it's currently unclear how the character will be written out of the series.
