NBC Renews 'Blindspot,' 'Chicago Fire,' 'Chicago P.D.' and 'Chicago Med'; Cancels 'Timeless'

NBC is continuing to make decisions on its remaining bubble series. This afternoon, the broadcast network has opted to renew Blindspot, Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med. But it has also decided to cancel Timeless after one season.

Blindspot stars Jaimie Alexander, Sullivan Stapleton, Rob Brown, Audrey Esparza, Ashley Johnson, Ukweli Roach, Luke Mitchell, Michelle Hurd and Archie Panjabi.

Martin Gero created the drama. He executive produces with Greg Berlanti, Mark Pellington, Sarah Schechter and Marcos Siega. Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions produce.

In its second season, the drama is averaging a 1.8 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and 7.4 million total viewers, in Live+7 numbers.

Chicago Fire stars Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Monica Raymund, Kara Killmer, David Eigenberg, Yuri Sardarov, Joe Minoso, Christian Stolte, Miranda Rae Mayo and Eamonn Walker.

Michael Brandt and Derek Haas created the drama. They executive produce with Dick Wolf, Matt Olmstead, Danielle Gelber, Joe Chappelle, Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski. Universal Television and Wolf Films produce.

In its fifth season, the drama is averaging a 2.5 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and 10.8 million total viewers, in Live+7 numbers.

Chicago P.D. stars Jason Beghe, Sophia Bush, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, Marina Squerciati, LaRoyce Hawkins, Amy Morton and Elias Koteas.

Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead created the drama. They executive produce with Danielle Gelber, Michael Brandt, Derek Haas, Mark Tinker, Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski. Universal Television and Wolf Films produce. The fifth season of the drama will be the first without showrunner Matt Olmstead, who decided to exit earlier this year.

In its fourth season, the  drama is averaging a 2.4 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and 10.1 million total viewers, in Live+7 numbers.

Chicago Med stars Nick Gehlfuss, Torrey DeVitto, Yaya DaCosta, Rachel DiPillo, Colin Donnell, Brian Tee, S. Epatha Merkerson, Oliver Platt and Marlyne Barrett.

Dick Wolf and Matt Olmstead created the drama. They executive produce with Diane Frolov, Andrew Schneider, Michael Waxman, Michael Brandt, Derek Haas, Danielle Gelber, Arthur W. Forney and Peter Jankowski. Universal Television and Wolf Films produce.

In its second season, the  drama is averaging a 2.1 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and 9.9 million total viewers, in Live+7 numbers.

Timeless starred Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, Claudia Doumit and Goran Višnjić.

Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan created the drama. They executive produced with John Davis, John Fox, Marney Hochman and Neil Marshall. Sony Pictures Television, Universal Television, Davis Entertainment, Kripke Enterprises and MiddKid Productions produced.

In its first season, the drama averaged a 2.1 rating in the key Adults 18-49 demographic and 8 million total viewers, in Live+7 numbers. Most of that number came from delayed viewing instead of live on Monday nights. It also seems like the show was ultimately too expensive for NBC to order more.
