Casting News - May 31, 2017

The CW's Supergirl; Epix's Graves; and Netflix's Orange Is the New Black.

EPIX's GRAVES
  • Wallace Shawn (Mozart in the Jungle, Toy Story) has been cast in a recurring role on the comedy's upcoming second season. He will play Jerry North, the incumbent democratic senator of New Mexico and Margaret's (Sela Ward) opponent in her race for the Senate. A rumpled suit-wearing klutz and self-righteous liberal, Jerry was one of Graves' (Nick Nolte) most vehement adversaries during his presidency and now turns his taste for political combat on Margaret.
NETFLIX's ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK
  • After recurring since the second season, Dale Soules has been promoted to series regular for the prison dramedy's upcoming sixth season. She plays Frieda Berlin, a no-nonsense inmate who knows a lot about murder.
THE CW's SUPERGIRL
  • Odette Annable (Banshee, House) has joined the drama's upcoming third season as a new series regular. She will play villain Reign, who was first teased at the end of the second season finale. The new season will offer the show's interpretation of the World Killer storyline from the DC Comics.
