Netflix has today announced a premiere date for its upcoming original series She's Gotta Have It from Spike Lee based on his film of the same name.
The 10-episode first season will drop on the streaming service on Thanksgiving Day, November 23.
The series centers on Nola Darling, a Brooklyn-based artist in her late twenties struggling to define herself and divide her time against her friends, her job and her three lovers.
The cast includes DeWanda Wise, Anthony Ramos, Cleo Anthony, Lyriq Bent, Chyna Layne, Ilfenesh Hadera, Margot Bingham, Sydney Morton and Joie Lee.
Lee created the series and will direct all 10 episodes of the first season. He executive produces with Tonya Lewis Lee. Barry Michael Cooper and Lynn Nottage are producers.
