NETFLIX's THE GOOD COP
  • Josh Groban (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) has been cast as the co-lead on the upcoming drama starring Tony Danza. The series centers on Tony Sr. (Danza), a disgraced former NYPD officer who never followed the rules. He lives with his son, Tony Jr. (Groban), an earnest, obsessively honest NYPD detective who makes a point of always following the rules. This "odd couple" become unofficial partners as Tony Sr. offers his overly cautious son blunt, streetwise advice on everything from handling suspects to handling women.
AMC's DIETLAND
  • Rowena King (Of Kings and Prophets) and Robin Weigert (Deadwood) will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Joy Nash and Julianna Margulies. King will play Cheryl Crane-Murphy, a no-nonsense newscaster who tries to remain level-headed and strictly bipartisan in an ever confusing and macabre news cycle. She works alongside Kitty Montgomery (Margulies). Weigert will play Verena Baptist, a body-positive counselor who notoriously exposed the secrets of her family's weight-loss program as a pyramid scheme. Her peaceful feminist principles are thrown into doubt when an underground group of vigilantes begin taking matters into their own hands.
HISTORY's BLUE BOOK
  • Laura Mennell (Loudermilk, The Man in the High Castle) is set as the female lead on the upcoming drama starring Aidan Gillen. She will play Mimi Hynek, Allen's (Gillen) wife who is seemingly a content stay-at-home housewife but has plans to become much more.
AMAZON's HOMECOMING
  • Shots Fired star Stephan James has booked the male lead on the upcoming drama starring Julia Roberts. The drama is a psychological and political thriller that centers on Heidi (Roberts), a caseworker at a secret government facility, and Walter (James), a returning soldier eager to rejoin civilian life. Walter is a young military veteran with an underlying confidence and quiet sense of humor, who beings the Homecoming Initiative and is assigned to Heidi.
