The CW Gives Full Season Order to 'Dynasty'

The CW has handed out a back-nine episode order for its original drama series Dynasty, it was announced today. The order brings the total for the first season to 22 episodes.

In its first four episodes, the drama has averaged a 0.4 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic and 1.3 million total viewers when factoring in three days of DVR usage. Those numbers are still relatively small. And yet, the network can afford to order more episodes because the series already has a lucrative deal with Netflix.

The drama stars Elizabeth Gillies, Nathalie Kelley, James Mackay, Robert Christopher Riley, Sam Adegoke, Rafael de la Fuente, Alan Dale and Grant Show.

Sallie Patrick, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage developed the series based on the hit 1980s soap. They executive produce with Richard Shapiro, Esther Shapiro and Brad Silberling. CBS Television Studios produces.

Furthermore, the network has confirmed that fellow new drama Valor will wrap its run with its initial 13-episode order. A decision about a second season will be made closer to the May upfront presentations.
