CBS has ordered an additional eight episodes of its original drama series Elementary for its upcoming sixth season. The order brings the season's tally up to 21 episodes. However, the show still doesn't have a specific premiere date yet.
The drama stars Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu, Jon Michael Hill, Aidan Quinn and Desmond Harrington.
Robert Doherty created the drama. He executive produces with Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, John Coles, John Polson and Jason Tracey. CBS Television Studios, Timberman/Beverly Productions and Hill of Beans Productions produce.
The fifth season of the drama averaged a 1.2 rating in the Adults 18-49 demographic and 7.7 million total viewers when factoring in delayed viewing. Season 6 is the first time the show has been held for a midseason premiere.
