Showtime Renews 'SMILF' for Season 2

After airing only four episodes, Showtime has renewed its original comedy series SMILF for a second season. The series will return sometime in 2018.

The comedy stars Frankie Shaw, Miguel Gomez, Samara Weaving and Rosie O'Donnell.

Frankie Shaw created the comedy. She executive produces with Lee Eisenberg, Gene Stupnitsky and Michael London. ABC Signature, Groundswell Productions, Quantity Entertainment and Supahsmaht Productions produce.

"From its first episode, the refreshingly honest point of view of SMILF broke though with audiences, the press and on social media," said Gary Levine, President of Programming, Showtime. "Frankie Shaw is a creative force to be reckoned with and we love having her on Showtime. Her show is funny and forthright, pointed and poignant, irreverent and relevant, all at once. We can't wait to see where Frankie takes SMILF next season."
