Netflix Renews 'Black Mirror' for Season 5

Netflix has renewed the original anthology series Black Mirror for a fifth season, it was announced today in a video posted on Twitter. A premiere window and episode count were not immediately announced. 






In the series, each episode employs a different cast of actors to explore themes linked to the collision of mankind with the unforgiving technology they have created.

The fifth season of the episodic anthology series will be its third made exclusively for Netflix. The drama launched on the U.K.'s Channel 4 for its first two seasons. The third season then made the move to the streaming service and launched in October 2016 - winning two Emmy Awards. The fourth season debuted in late December 2017.

Charlie Brooker created the series and writes the majority of episodes. He executive produces with Annabel Jones.
