AMC has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming third season of its original drama series Preacher.
The third season will premiere on Sunday, June 24 at 10/9c.
In the new episodes, Jesse Custer's quest for God takes him back to the place he's been avoiding his whole life: home. Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy return to Angelville, the Louisiana Plantation where Jesse was raised, and find old grudges and deadly obligations await them. With the help of his friends - and a few enemies - Jesse will need to escape his past because the future of the world depends on it.
The drama stars Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun, Ian Coletti, Graham McTavish, Pip Torrens, Julie Ann Emery, Malcolm Barrett, Betty Buckley and Colin Cunningham.
Guest stars in the new season include Jeremy Childs, Liz McGreever, Jonny Coyne, Adam Croasdell and Prema Cruz.
Sam Catlin, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg developed the drama based on the comic book series of the same name. They executive produce with James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Vivian Cannon, Ori Marmur, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Steve Dillon and Michael Slovis. AMC Studios, Sony Pictures Television, KFL Nightsky Productions, Kickstart Productions, Original Film, Point Grey and Short Drive Entertainment produce.
