ABC Picks Up Drama 'A Million Little Things' to Series

ABC has made its first pilot-to-series pickup for the upcoming 2018-19 season. The network has given a series order to the drama A Million Little Things. It joins the straight-to-series orders The Rookie, Take Two and the untitled The Goldbergs spinoff on the network's schedule.

A group of friends from Boston bonded under unexpected circumstances. Some have achieved success, others are struggling in their careers and relationships, but all of them feel stuck in life. After one of them dies unexpectedly, it's just the wake-up call the others need to finally start living. Along the way, they discover that friends may be the one thing to save them from themselves.

The drama stars James Roday, David Giuntoli, Romany Malco, Christina Ochoa, Christina Moses, Anne Son, Allison Miller, Stephanie Szostak, Lizzy Greene and Tristan Byon. Ron Livingston appeared in the pilot and will continue to recur in the series.

DJ Nash wrote the pilot, which was directed by James Griffiths. They executive produce with Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor. ABC Studios and Kapital Entertainment produce.
