Amazon has today confirmed that it has renewed the original comedy series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for a third season - months ahead of the launch of the second season. The news was first teased this weekend by series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino while accepting a Peabody Award for the series.
The comedy stars Rachel Brosnahan, Alex Borstein, Michael Zegen, Marin Hinkle and Tony Shalhoub.
Sherman-Palladino executive produces with Daniel Palladino. Amazon Studios, Picrow and Dorothy Parker Drank Here Productions produce.
The first season has so far won two Critics' Choices Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, one Producers Guild of America Award and a Peabody Award. It's expected to do very well with Emmy nominations later this summer, with the second season launching in late 2018.
