NETFLIX's TUCA & BERTIE
- Ali Wong will voice the co-lead role on the upcoming animated comedy starring Tiffany Haddish. She has starred for two seasons in ABC's American Housewife. Her casting keeps her at Netflix, where she has produced two stand-up specials.
- The comedy is about the friendship between two 30-year-old bird women who live in the same apartment building: Tuca (Haddish), a cocky and care-free toucan, and Bertie (Wong), an anxious, daydreaming songbird.
AMC's THE WALKING DEAD
- Avi Nash and Callan McAuliffe have been promoted to series regulars for the drama's upcoming ninth season. Both actors joined the veteran drama series as recurring in the eighth season.
- Nash plays Siddiq, a doctor whom Rick (Andrew Lincoln) drove away in the season premiere and then later later reappeared when Carl saved his life but was bitten in the process.
- McAuliffe play Alden, a former member of the Saviors who surrendered to Maggie's (Lauren Cohan) Hilltop community and was held as a prisoner.
HBO's BIG LITTLE LIES
- Poorna Jagannathan has booked a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. Her casting returns her to HBO following her starring role on the limited series The Night Of. She was also a series regular on Netflix's one-season drama Gypsy.
- She will play Katie Richmond. No additional details were immediately revealed about the character.
