FOX has today renewed the original drama series The Resident for a second season. The renewal means the network is bringing back all of its first year dramas for the 2018-19 schedule - including 9-1-1, The Gifted and The Orville.
The drama stars Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Bruce Greenwood, Moran Atias, Merrin Dungey and Melina Kanakaredes.
Amy Holden Jones, Hayley Schore and Roshan Sethi created the drama. Jones executive produces with Antoine Fuqua, Phillip Noyce, Oly Obst, David Boorstein and Todd Harthan. 20th Century Fox Television, 3 Arts Entertainment, Fuqua Films, Up Island Films and Nickels Productions produce.
