CBS Gives Series Orders to Comedies Starring Damon Wayans Jr. and Cedric the Entertainer

CBS has given its first pilot-to-series orders to two new multi-camera comedies today - a still untitled comedy starring Damon Wayans Jr. and Welcome to the Neighborhood featuring Cedric the Entertainer.






Untitled Damon Wayans Jr. Comedy - A young married couple's lives are completely upended when a young musician moves into their spare bedroom and brings with him the complications of being an up-and-coming mega pop star - sometimes even the paparazzi.

The comedy stars Damon Wayans Jr., Amber Stevens West, Felix Mallard, Stephnie Weir and Chris Parnell.

Austen Earl and Tim McAuliffe wrote the pilot, which was directed by Phill Lewis. They executive produce with Harry Styles, Ben Winston, Michael Rotenberg and Jonathan Berry. CBS Television Studios, Fulwell 73 and 3 Arts Entertainment produce.

Welcome to the Neighborhood - The nicest guy in the Midwest moves his family into a tough neighborhood in Los Angeles where not everyone appreciates his extreme neighborliness. 

The comedy stars Josh Lawson, Dreama Walker, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, Hank Greenspan, Tichina Arnold and Cedric the Entertainer.

Jim Reynolds wrote the pilot, which was directed by James Burrows. They executive produce with Aaron Kaplan, Dana Honor, Wendi Trilling, Cedric the Entertainer and Eric Rhone. CBS Television Studios, Kapital Entertainment, Trill TV and A Bird and A Bear Entertainment produce.
